Cross-Channel Platform for Specialist Retailers

ORTHEG is a purchasing cooperative for medical supply shops and orthopaedic workshops. Its online platform allows ORTHEG to provide its 300 members with a low-cost start to doing business online.

The dedicated online shops have now been updated with access to centrally maintained product data, document templates and attractive web design - all still at very advantageous rates.

Multishop Platform: optimally maintained product data, photos and texts

The silver.eShop Multishop e-commerce solution was used to launch a multi-shop platform connecting ORTHEG's members to the cooperative's central ERP (Microsoft Dynamics NAV). Product data is fed directly from ORTHEG ERP to the e-commerce platform. The editors at the cooperative now provide members with photographs, news, flip catalogs, up-to-date and legally compliant texts - and much more.

The member shop platform is both easy to implement and customize with the user's own corporate design. Members can display their products, news, and services on the attractive shop landing page, and set their own prices.

Retailers who decide in favor of the Premium Package can add their own product groups and products - including their own photo material, PDFs and videos - to the ORTHEG product range. The data management for products, inventories and pricing takes place via the intuitive user interface and by importing.

Automated processes through ERP integration

Members benefit both from good product information and ORTHEG's automated logistics. This means that members are getting e-commerce functionalities at no extra costs to themselves. End customers can decide whether to receive the products directly per delivery or to collect them from the retail outlet.

All the processes have been automated as much as possible: the shop platform is integrated via interfaces into the purchasing cooperative's processes. Data is exchanged in real-time and processed automatically.

Order confirmations as well as invoicing and order management are handled automatically in the silver.eShop multi-shop platform.

In the backend, orders from the ORTHEG product range are handled as purchase orders on behalf of the retailer to the ORTHEG ERP. Orders from different product ranges are split automatically and forwarded as partial orders to the ERP.
